Description

Golden, crispy halloumi bites drizzled with sweet and spicy hot honey. A quick and easy appetizer perfect for family dinners or sharing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz halloumi cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup hot honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme or parsley
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Pat halloumi dry and cut into bite-sized pieces

2. Set up breading station with flour eggs and seasoned breadcrumbs

3. Coat each piece in flour then egg then breadcrumbs

4. Heat oil to 350°F and fry until golden and crispy

5. Warm honey with chili flakes and vinegar

6. Drizzle hot honey over bites and garnish with herbs

7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan while frying
  • Adjust spice level by reducing chili flakes
  • Serve immediately for best texture
